Invasion of the motorhomes

We'll be leaving Gib today having overnighted in La Linear for 2 nights. It's busy at the marina parking (there must be at least 100 units here) but still loads of room.

spent the night at simancas 10 mls south of vallalolid aiming for Merida overnight then the beach at punta umbria to chill looks like a few days of 20 degrees plus to come can’t wait, that’s plan A. but the weather at pomarao is slightly better ??

At punta Umbria looking at the sea the restaurant on the left is doing a bit of work and they are a little noisy. There.was large pools of water from the rain but should be dry when you get there.
Watch for the caterpillars men over 40 are having heart attacks from being in contact with them.
Ps ,,,the sun is out.

Simancas.
One of our favourite stops, by the Riverside. Decent walk up to the town..
Pity it's cold, in Winter.
If you time it right, they have a fiesta in early September.
If you get there on the last day, they have the caterers private party,
We hit it right and had a lovely social night with them.
Then found out that they'd not brought the tills with them.

Apologies ...
Brain fog.
13 miles south of Burgos..?
I was thinking about PAMPLIEGA.. Just south of the motorway.

We are now in Isla Cristina for the next 8 days, it's 21° and sunny, seen enough rain on this trip. Went for a ride on the scooter and noticed a few motorhomes parked near the beach on Parking Pinares which was deserted apart from a couple sunbathing. Staying on a camping park, but haven't bothered hooking up to the mains, I want to see if the solar and batteries can cope now for more than 24 hours

our target today was Merida a lovely spot in itself but we made such good time we carried on when we stopped for lunch just after bejar we realised that an old favourite was within reach and early enough in the season that it wouldn’t be residential lol, it’s the old moorish town of Jerez de los Callaberos about 30 mls south of badjadoz the aire itself is just outside the bullring and an easy walk for the town center, the aire is fully concreted with bush dividers and is fully serviced even free electricity , good dog walking behind the football stadium another plus for us & forecast tomorrow is 24deg so we’re having a day off from travelling

We are now near Cadiz and can confirm that the weather is lovely: 22 degrees yesterday and not a cloud in the sky...plus it is set fair for a week at least too.

Pushed the bikes most of the way up the narrow lanes in old Tortosa to the hospital car park for views across to the Cathedral. But rode up the final stretch with the power assist on Level 4, quite stimulating! The views were worth it ...

And how about the address ...

Is there a nice wild camping spot please near the beach in Cadiz, fancy staying there when we leave here for a couple of nights, I have been told the sunsets are great.

woke up this morning to mist on the river only 11 deg at the moment but going to more than double in the next couple of hours once the mist burns of

Looks like you might need your thermals on Tuesday and Thursday.😜😎
Winter drawers on, as the Music Hall comedians used to say, Wully :ROFLMAO: , to say nothing of the reference to this remnant of lino looking lovely up Mrs Smith's back passage ...

'I don't wish to know that, kindly leave the stage'

Drove to Aguilas, for old times sake, the motorhomes are back there’s even big wheelie bins. We all got chucked off many years ago! The camp sites are rammed. Plenty of nice places to wild camp by the sea IMG_2312.jpegbetween here and San Juan de los Terraros.
