An inverter has two lives. Tying one leg of the output transformer to ground artificially creates zero volts on that leg.

Tyres have carbon in them and earth im told, no chains on cars these days, I also read you cannot get a shock of an inverter, im not going to test it thank you.

Not so sure about that Trev, we were instructed to either stay in the cab or if safe to do so jump well clear if (when) power lines came down on us. It was safe so long as nothing earthed you out
