Ipads OS is Safari and no other OS will work as far as I know, having said that, Safari is pretty good, once you update to the latest version your iPad accepts there are quite a few options for search engines, I use Duck duck go as it doesn't track you. Chrome as you know is Google who in my opinion is the devils spawn along with facebook.

When I say OS the actual OS is IOS but the version of IOS depends on the age of the iPad ,the latest is IOS 11, and Safari is the built in browser, I'm confusing myself now.
