Not watched it Kev but what voltage was the starter battery? My pack will start my Sprinter (2.7 5 cylinder) fine at 25% so long as the starter battery is not below 12.2V
 
You only need to watch about 30 seconds it's part of a larger none related video.
 
I'll pass on that idea Trev it's actually a lot more messing about and only helps one vehicle anyway.
