Just for two bulkhead light with PIR, and SWA cable fitted £550.

No chance, it's a mornings work I think for any decent sparky, SWA I think 1.5mm2 will be enough, a few clips and the lights

Are you bonkers, I have 2 outside led lamps on a sensor and a remote pocket switch, a total cost of around £25, must be all that honey you sell leaving you so rich. 😂

Yeah but sparkies have to do it properly in the motherland.

Oh heck, now that scared me awake.

:D :D :D

You’re welcome to come and pinch the one off our neighbours garage that lights up our bedroom as if ET is landing!
God, tell me about it, neighbour across the road in the corner has one that lights up our bedroom and kitchen an bathroom! Bloody annoying on all night. Good side to it is I can get up and go loo then downstairs to make a cuppa without switching our lights on!

I’m having a quote for one next week. Needed for pathway and van security . Existing light there but not worked since we moved in 12 month ago. Hope I don’t get ripped off. Not got a clue how much it should roughly cost . Thanks for giving us some sort of idea.

Yep; just had a quote from a qualified sparky, gas man and plumber. Not itemised which annoyed me to start with and when my brother saw it he verbally ripped it to shreds.
Think the guy rubbed his hands and thought old grey haired lady this will be easy. Wrong! Had a rogue builder when we bought house before tinternet. Once bittern no longer shy!

Yeh; difficult, got ripped off for double glaze last year. Hubby paid for up front to what we thought was a good comp with good feedback on fb. I’d gone to the loo, hubby has altzeimers; 5 months later and still no dbl glazing. Got money back through bank but trust has gone now.

About £80 for materials, it does have to cross some steps outside but a 4'' grinder and a bit of cement to hide the cable isn't going to cost much, I would do it myself but I don't have any SWA tools.

I only know two of the neighbours, not sure how, how much use they'll be, none of my friends are up to it.

What tools for SWA?

4" grinder will take all day 🤣

Measure, level, mark, drill, plug screw clip every foot. How long is the run?

Each SWA connection will take around 15 minutes, you are looking at 4 of them.

Good luck terminating SWA In those lights 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Time to test ( and I don't mean see if they work ) record details and notify LA.

Soon adds up....

Get more quotes and see how they compare.

The lights were on my list of HTFDIDT also going through a 3' rubble filled wall, although I might be able to do it another way.

The annoying thing is we have SWA in the wall but the stupid builder put it in the wrong wall on the wrong side and left it buried then rendered over it with no clue as to where it is, tried with a metal detector and it's not showing anything.

That sucks!
