La Marina

Looks like it is where there used to be a campsite a few years back, lots of motorhomes used to stop on the beach car parks at the other end of La Marina. There used to be a toilet block not far away people used to empty their toilet that regularly got blocked so it was knocked down, result was then people started to dump their toilet cassette in the amongst the trees, result was police banned them altogether also put a 3.5 ton limit on access. There are always people who will ruin it for the majority of responsible motorhome users, if you are desperate & need to dump your waste/toilet then nearly all campsites will allow you to do this for a couple of euros. Found the 2 camper stops near Iceland always full, have stopped the odd night just parked on the road as many others do.

Had a drive to La Marina and El Pinet today and nearly all the motorhomes had vanished, there was about 4 new ones, does anyone know if the police have had a purge, the €10 campsite 1/2 mile away had about 10 vans on it.

Went down on Monday for a coffee all the vans gone ..if none are there you can bet the Police have moved them on..Its a bit flooded and muddy in areas as well after all rain we have had..

Hope you got a better coffee than me down there, I went to the restaurant /cafe at the end were they barbecue food and it was like warm at best. I agree it was rather muddy in places down there, I didn't see any UK vans there this time, they all appeared to be foreign registered, otherwise I would have enquired why all the vans gone. Like that spot myself and are hoping to wild camp a couple of nights down there myself iifin the early part of next year, if the police are leaving camper homes alone.

There is an excellent pay aire at La Marina, it is in the well known Dutch Aire App. I can't post it as links to it are forbidden!
Maybe it is time for the unwanted M/H's to move on!
Hi we where there February/march we looked for the pay air but was unable to find it, it must be a closely guarded secret

Think it was still a raw field in Jan Feb ...look at my map in earlier posts thats its location now

It's on the m

It's on the left hand side as you are on the road heading down to El Pinet beach, I called into have a look and spoke to a French guy in the office, it's got all the basic facilities including WiFi and the ground looks level, it's portacabins for toilets and showers.

*****,, I think we had a look at this place, is is not between Guadamar and Torrevieja just off the main Rd on an industrial estate, there was also another couple of places advertising for motorhomes and caravan stays on the same estate. We were there just yesterday on our way back from La Marina to Dona Pepa were we are staying

There is also this place at La Marina, I had a look around it, they have fabulous facilities, Gym, proper heated indoor spa pool with jacuzzi ect, if you are an ADAC member then you can stay for €24 a night, they don't offer any other discounts for members of any other club membership cards though unfortunately, but it would be a nice place to stay if my grandkids came out for a few nights. Just a shame I don't have an ADAC membership.

I have called down at le Pinet beach in La Marina a few times recently and there has been no motorhomes there, were as when I first arrived in Spain in the beginning of November there were quite a few staying over, I can only presume that the police continue to move them on. If anyone fancys a stop over for 1 night in La Marina then providing they spend a little in this place you can park at the Bodega bar overnight for free, I can throughly recommend the Tapas and they have a good selection of wine to sample in wooden barrels, you can then fill a bottle up starting at €1.60 a litre, my wife throughly recommends the port which was €3 a litre.

Port, mmmmmmm and u don’t mean the place to stay!!!!

Yes the port was very smooth drink according to the Mrs, thank goodness you can only stay for one night, otherwise my wife wouldn't want to visit anywhere else, she would quite happily stay there forever.??

Is this bar on the main road coming in to town .from the service point by lidl.

Not seen a Lidl to be honest but it is on the main Rd on the right hand side if you were coming in from Guadamar end before you hit the shops, opens at 6.00am until 14.00, then opens again at 18.00, well worth a visit.
