Laser printer problem

I fitted a new toner cartridge last week and it has been printing fine but I just had to print some stuff for Liz and although usable, they are poor printouts, any spurts out there?

Not an ex spurt, Kev, more an ancient drip, but does the printer have a cleaning function? The [hoto looks as though the cartidge has bled toner onto the paper. It's been donkey's years since I had a laser printer, but I have a hazy recollection of needing to run a couple of test pages through after a cartridge change [and a gentle/careful wipe of the roller mechanism that will have collected the toner 'dust'?]

No, I looked Steve and it's all clean, I got them off Amazon so no biggy, being picked up on Tuesday by Postman Patricia.

I fitted a new drum too recently.
