Hi
I had issue with the control panel giving a red for the L battery. Tried charging , two chargers would say 13.0 on L Battery but It would read on control as red
Brother in law , experienced car mechanic, reasonable knowledge of electrics, came and tested with better kit and it had dropped. LB did not seem to hold charge

Although drove to Scotland and used a little about a month ago and then on hook up at home, we surmised it had lost a cell and got new battery

New battery, slightly bigger capacity of 130 against previous 115 fitted and controls unit says full ( all lights on ) happy days

Except next day control panel back to red bulb, but battery reading 12.7 .

I tried disconnecting plugs and tested next day, it read 12.7 and control on red

Noticed 20a fuse looked “ charred “ so replaced.. two blew ( van on hook up)

Knocked off hook up and fuse holds , control read red plus two yellow ( out of five total)

Wrote this and LBat now reads red plus one yellow, then fuse blew

Any ideas ? All advice gladly taken!

Hi the fault could be in the onboard charger or the control panel. Check these next to determine wether the charger is charging properly or the control panel has not got a short. I also advise you disconnect the LB and bench charge it at home to full charge. On my panel a red light comes on if incorrect polarity ???. Hope you find the culprit soon. Try an auto electrician.

Update,problem solved!

I had forgotten there was a further LBattery in the floor! It had died and the other new battery was loosing charge to the first battery
Followingvadvice I took out the failed battery and replaced it with the new battery. Recharged the previously thought kaput battery , bought upto charge and installed that one . Control unit now giving almost full reading and fuses no longer blowing , hopefully now good to go

I will but a notice above the floor area to indicate a “buried ” L Battery. If only I could do the same for my brain!
Cheers guys

I have the same problem but with the main battery. The controller reads 9.5v although it went down to 9.2 the other day. Checked battery with meter and no problems so can’t understand. I’ve looked at the controller and there is no ability to program it correctly
