Lithium battery

Thanks nabsim. 48 ampereday seems quite high, implying a 1:2 duty cycle. Ours is nearer 1:4. The fridge is their latest (or was when fitted 4 years ago) and ours was the first to go into a UK motorhome - Isotherm Freeline Elegance - because we wanted a bigger capacity than the standard Vantage fitting, and also uses less power

Lifepo4 are seemingly the only lithium batteries of that capacity that will fit under the front seats, so that is what we are having. One of the advantages of lithium is the flat discharge curve - but as you say, does mean you need a battery monitor. A small price compared to the cost of the batteries

@Bacchanalia we have different fridges, mine is a 110ltr Waeco MDC-110, it is really a bit big for just me and the dogs but not when Mrs is with me. The average consumption given for mine is 45W, the manufacturer also gave the 48amp daily figure. I know it isn’t far off from a few years use, my battery monitor lets me get a good idea of what uses what, my daily total consumption for everything is 60 to 65 amps.
This is the reason I killed my previous three 90ah Varta battery’s in 12 months, I didn’t comprehend the usage/recharging requirements properly and thought 300W solar and b2b would do the job alone, very rarely anywhere for 240 hook up. If I was to move every day I wouldn’t have a problem but I tend to stay for a few days when I am somewhere I like. For me a generator is essential for my off grid lifestyle in winter in the U.K.
Good luck with yours and updates as you get used to it would be good 👍
