Ken, the lovely lady from Glasgow was Christine. You will receive a bouquet of flowers on your return to UK, as a thank you for you funding the new Cathargo, your acc wont show this yet!! 🤭

And to make matters worse, you are going to lose another hour next weekend when the clocks change.
I had similar issues with my bank yesterday, long story about useless tech messing me about and threatening not to make a payment and inability to communicate with a human to sort it.
Ended up driving to the next town where a bank branch still exists.
My two and a half hours on websites, phone and travel to branch trumps your one hour.
Great this technology eh?

Davy

Bankers..!
Rhyming slang.!

My Portuguese account is with a branch in the Tavira Region.
I've moved to a town in the Faro Area.
The local branch won't talk to me. I can pay in and take money out... That's all.

Changing from one bank to a different bank is virtually impossible, because my bank won't pass on any details of standing orders, direct debits or my personal info.
Good job I'm skint.

Ken, Before you hit the problem of turning to North European skin colour again, register your fingerprints in addition to facial recognition. I have both, but my new phone struggles with facial recognition; I have registered 3-4 fingers including one thumb, so if I have a facial failure and a hammered index finger from my latest DIY failure, the bandage won't mess up my fingerprint ... :ROFLMAO: (y)

Steve

We had to give up on facial recognition for Dave . The AI which matches face to photo when "saying a phrase" just would not believe he was human! ( Must admit I can see their point sometimes :ROFLMAO: ) Because he has facial palsy, his face doesn't move in "the right way"! Ended up speaking to the bank and explained, they put some " marker" on the account so that it gets referred to a person rather than an algorithm.

The lady from Glasgow was Wullys Christine, you have been scammed and made a donation to his new van

I tend to prefer fingerprint recognition, but it has its snags.
Wet or dirty fingers, worn fingerprints and general digital cussedness can impede recognition.
In theory, you can re-enrol your prints but the phone tells your banking app, which then requires you to reconfirm your identity.
So best to have both face and fingerprint, and enrol several different fingers, just to be sure.
I'd never trust voice recognition: far too easy to hack.
