Driving back from the New Year meet I wanted to top up the LPG ready for next trip out. I consulted the myLPG app and found on route that the cheapest was Keele Services at 64.9p/Litre. Had a quick check with what was available closer to home and Morrisons Binley is 72.7p and Flogas Leicester 101p.

This must be a first where a Motorway Services is cheaper than a supermarket !

Still a lot cheaper than Calor Propane - 13Kg exchange is £39.99 which makes it about £1.54 a litre.

Paul.

The trouble with Keele services LPG pump is that it is only accessible from the southbound carriageway. Which involves a heck of a long detour if you are heading north.

Morrisons Kirkcaldy 72.7p per litre today. And, unlike the first refill, where I got into a real mess with the connection, and the pump timed out on about 3 occasions, whilst the cashier was yelling advice over the Tannoy, I didn't have to do the 'Walk of Shame' to the kiosk to pay ... 👍😀

Shell M54 services 65.9p/litre

Used Keele south a few times always good value,.it's not available in the North bound side for some reason.

Almost certainly a first . Though my usage is so little , even with heating on , that price never seems too crucial .
Don't tell them that though

Paid 84.9 litre last week in Penrith, called the garage on the M6 north near Tebay and they longer sell it.
Im isolating near Penrith as my household has COVID and using gas like it’s going out of fashion due to the cold weather.
Yes expensive but bugger all compared to bottled gas and what else I’m spent whilst away. Normally fill up at my local Calor depot at home but they have been closed to visitors for the best part of 2 yearsdue to COVID,gas was 55.4 litre when I last used them.

I last filled up, 2 x 11kg gasits, late October 2021 at our local Morrisons...approx 57p/litre. Last week that was high 70's / litre, same place, Leyland.

A cheaper 'anything' at a service station would be a novelty ! I use an app called Filllpg (Fill-LPG). Not sure if that is best app but it does seem to track prices reasonably well. I am not sure if this is the best app. Would anyone have any recommendations for alternative apps ?
