Hi heading South from Glasgow I noted that my Gaslow needed lpg topped up. Usually Morrisons in Paisley is my best bet. However looked further afield on my intended route. Prices are up a fair bit. My app showed Morrisons 77p a litre. It also showed Abington in South Lanarkshire M70 as 77p per litre. I thought it was a mistake as motorway lpg was over 90p and as much as 101p.
Anyway took a chance an it was indeed 77p. Abington is where traffic splits off to Edinburgh or Glasgow directions North so thought it would be good to share this surprising story.

My local garage is charging £1.30 a litre is that a record .
No, it is a rip-off. Historically, LPG has always been somewhere between half the price of petrol and half the price of diesel. Unless petrol is over £2.60 a litre, somethng is wrong.

You may find that there is a much cheaper competitor nearby, so they have upped prices to compensate for low sales volumes.

Well, according to Google Maps, "Abington" is located on the A702, so there :)

For anyone considering a diesel night heater instead of using LPG, apart from the additonal 12v power used for the glowplug and the fuel pump, the essential difference is the fuel cost.

LPG is a bit over 7KWh per litre, and diesel is about 10KWh per litre.
That makes diesel well over half as expensive again per KWh.
Round here, diesel is currently £1.81 per litre (18.1p per KWh), LPG is 80p per litre (11.4p per KWh).

Of course, if you buy bottled LPG, it's more expensive and much more hassle.

Never had to pay more than 99.9p, avaerage being 79.9p, but recently seen LPG at 110.9p

Now Adblue is a totally different kettle of fish. 10lts at £29.99 the other day, and if you're a truck its £1.75 at the pump. I think Halfords still do 10ltrs for around £13 ?

How is Adblue relevant to LPG prices in Scotland? Can you work in a reference to the price and availability of fish fingers and their availability in Iceland food stores?

For posh new vans, it's still fuel related.Init.
But an entirely disconnected item, especially for vans that are not posh and new. Also, the topic refers to lpg prices in Scotland, so the thread is way off beam

Steve,
Yes....okay, point taken. Should be posted as a new subject.
If the edit was still available, I could have deleted that sentence.
