We have just been out for a pint in Lytham St Anne's and come back to the car park behind the swimming pool. We have been there loads of times before no probs. Tonight a jobsworth told us we weren't parked in a designated bay (7 of them , all full) so we were risking a fixed penalty fine. He would overlook it this time if we paid £15 and moved before 9am tomorrow. Another one off the list!!!!

Perhaps because of the time of year they are being more strict.
I've never been but if it's somewhere you like, it may be worth trying again when it's not as busy. It seems a shame to cancel somewhere out just because of one jobsworth.

Last time up at Lytham and blackpool we deside use a site .rather than car parks. To much noise at night .
We found this gem.

Won't be stopping on the car parks again. £15 a night is a bit steep when there isn't even a water tap and it's 40p for the toilets and £1 for the elsan point. Council greed will backfire I think!

I suspect it’s £7.50 to park in a standard bay so the op was probably asked to buy two tickets, rather than actual handover any money to a total stranger irrespective of the type of anorak said stranger was wearing!

Hi we overnighted in that car park a couple of months ago all ok, there is another car park 200 meters up the road on the left, with marked motorhome overnight bays , the same price as by the swimming pool, with the added bonus of bring able to empty your waste in a converted toilet for £1
