Man Dies After Being Sucked Into MRI Machine

I had a tiny bit of metal in my shoulder from when I first started work, never bothered me until I had my first MRI, feck that hurt.

I can't have a general MRI because I have metal plates! Evidently, although the plates are in my arm, I can't have an MRI on my torso, the plates would be too close to the donut! Well, that's what they told me.

Edit: It wasn't the magnetic stuff, it was that they were worried it may heat up the plates and cause a problem. But that was around 10 years ago.

I guess someone wearing a 20lb chain around their neck is not that usual. It probably means the procedure manual needs updating.
