Anyone out there with knowledge of this van? My lad's looking at one with 175000 miles to use as an occasional camper and bike race van (pushbike)
Any horrors to look out for?
All advice appreciated
Looking thru on line reviews now.

Depending on year they suffer from Tin worm and Black Death (injector seals leak) my mate is a Merc independent specialist

They use or have used the Vito for some Bilbo conversions so there may also be a Bilbo owners forum you could check but I haven’t looked

Great vans as long as it is from 2007 onwards as from then they galvanised them, before that date they are very prone to rust, mechanically there won’t be any problems

I’ve had a couple of these they can be a wee bit light on front end when carrying any weight. The 109 is a bit underpowered compared to the 111 and the 115 . The sliding side doors can be a pain coming of runners but handy having the two doors that might not be ideal for a van conversion or may be a bonus depending how your layout is. The front passenger seat is a bit tight for two people think they all came with a factory fitted bulkhead that makes the cab area feel tight. we also had a long wheelbase 115 auto at 150hp that extra length and hp made it a different van a real pleasure compared to the109 They drive like big cars and have a nice driving position and I remember them being good on fuel.

Thanks all. Somethings for him to consider

Appreciated
