I couldn't follow this bit much but it is a really good channel and I've followed it from the beginning, it's a boat restoration series.

There's a lot of Victron stuff in this video that you may not normally see, hope you enjoy it.

I know nothing about boats but it does seem odd that someone would chose to have BOTH 120v and 230V appliances on their boat. I can see maybe a reason to have 120V and 230V chargers, depending where in the world you are moored up, but not 120V AND 230V appliances.
Wouldn't having a 120V-230V (or 230V-120V depending on which is more likely to be encountered) transformer make more sense and just use the one voltage for appliances?
 
I think part of it is some are only available in a set voltage David but too complex a set up for me, very impressive how he managed to convey how it al works via a cleverly drawn diagram, considering he's a boat builder not a sparky.

I have no interest in boats but it's a really good series with some great characters and work people, I've watched it all the way through three times now.
