Michelin Agilis Camper tyres

Currently I have Michelin Agilis Camping tyres fitted on MoHo (3.9 ton registered). One needs replacing: perishing which has exposed cord. Unfortunately due to a number of factors, much of it health, it has stayed static too long and that is probably the cause.

Anyway...it seems from searches that the Michelin Agilis Camping are no longer manufactured. There is a "Cross Climate Camper" which I vaguely remember from before and chose not to have as more expensive. It has a different tread pattern (to cope with winter I believe).

Has anyone had to deal with this i.e. was running the Agilis Camping and needed to change to something else?

On a previous van I fitted Cross Climate Camper tyres to the front axle and was very satisfied with the result. I found them quieter, better grip in the wet on and off-road. Didn't have the van long enough to find how well they wore. I wouldn't buy any other now in spite of the price.

My Michelin cross climates have done some 24,000 miles and almost look like new, bought the van at 6 years old having done 6,000 miles dumped the tyres straight away almost and fitted Michelin, same with my EV came with Bridgestones, changed to Michelin heavy duty EV tyres 2 weeks in, on the Cupra forum everyone says they get less than 8000. Miles from a set of tyres, I’m at 26,000 still going strong.

Are those CP rated (I haven't gone and checked whether that might be the only option on the Camper anyway, and suspect it is)

I don't seem to be able to edit my original post, so just to add that my original thought had been to look at replace only the one that has perished. But with the fitted type no longer seeming to be available was wondiner about options (as I'm doubting I could mix the Cross Climate with the original Agilis)

Think you might need to replace a pair of them put the two new ones on front and the best of the others on back if they still have decent tread.

Yes that is what I'm now expecting....unfortunately.... its not the biggest of deals, but several issues have combined to mean its costing a fair amount for currently little usage. Sadly.

I fitted 4 x Good year Vector 4 seasons Cargo 2 years ago,for a planned trip to Norway.This never happened (yet). I've done about 4000 miles so far,hardly any wear.The best of the old 4 tyres was a 2 year old bought in spain when I had a puncture.This is now the spare tyre.

I had a similar issue a few years back. My rear aglis CP tyres needed replacing. I went with cross climate cp tyres.
Bear in mind they are directional tyres.
I did phone Michelin at the time for advice. They stated that all 4 tyres needed to be cross climate to ensure best results. I asked about both axles being different (cross on rear, ordinary aglis on front) and was again told that all 4 tyres needed to be fitted.
I complained about this and the lack of forewarning that ordinary aglis CPS were being withdrawn and was given a telephonic shrug off.
My fronts need replaced for next year, so I will conform, but I have not noticed any difference in driving with this apparent imbalance in the types.
Worth remembering that being directional, it has a bearing on your spare tyre regarding fitting.

Costco fitted two new, cross climates to the rear, my near new Agilis Camping were moved to the front. I wanted them left in the rear, but Costco don’t do this

Recently returned from nearly 4000 mile EU tour, I never noticed any difference with with this mix when driving.

@TeamRienza @runnach Thank you both for your replies. A short while ago I spoke with a relatively local tyre fitters who are not unfamiliar with MoHo's (they are next door to a garage that can handle MoHos who in turn are next door to a company which does habitation work and sells Mohos......so a bit of cross referral goes on).

I talked about mixing (front vs rear not same axle obviously) and they did not have a problem. However, what's interesting - concerning - from your posts is your experience seems to be CCs on REAR and Agilis on front. Its the front that I need to replace but most importantly given the better wet condition grip of the CCs and being front wheel drive I'd much rather want the CCs on the front (thinking soft surface sites).

I was not aware of the directional issue. Though I'm expecting to swap the good Agilis on the front to be the spare: I'm thinking - whether rightly or not - that mixing on an axle as a short term emergency is not a disaster (??) (which the garage agreed with)
