Just had a great run in with Morrisons fuel group customer services after I refused to move off the forecourt until I got confirmation of refusing to fill my lpg system (gas fill from external, point) all forecourt staff have been instructed unless it's a on board tank no refills are permitted
I told them they are bs safe and ncc recognise this system but no way hosie they say here's my email from mfg
I enjoyed my debate sad the outcome was this

How can they tell what you are filling from the shop window anyway, a tank and a cylinder are essentially the same other than the take off points, the filler is remote which should be the criterior.

I presume my underslung fixed tank would be ok , love to see them grovel under my van to check , i filled mine at a motorway services on M1 no questions asked , proberbly caught numptys filling calor bottle's
Underslyng according to my phone conversation is a no go also barry
Vehicles using lpg for propulsion appear to be the only ones ,I blocked the pumps for over a hour on the phone for 30mins came home and the email was as posted
As far as they indicated underslung is still a bottle in their opinion

It really just comes down to the basic position that a retailer doesn't have to sell you anything if they don't want to.

BUT, if a retailer treats 2 customers differently, the busines owner lays themselves open to a charge of discrimination, and, if you think of the stupid money that Morrisons and their ilk shell out for their Xmas advertising campaign, a 'no smoke without fire' reaction from other customers/potential customers can destroy the intended positive outcomes of the marketing spend.

I'll not bother troubling them again, we can go at least a week on 6kg of LPG if I'm too stupid or lazy to find a top up, I still have a Calor cylinder.
