I understand that the demand for used vans for people setting up as couriers, has created a shortage of decent ones available for conversion to campers ?
Couldn't give a 3 year old white Transit / Crafter or Fiat away a few years ago.

I have been selling odds and ends on facebook market place for DIY camper builders, defo a big uptake in the last 6 mths.

What gets me is the amount of people who have never done anything like a build that are buying brand new vans then setting about converting them. Vanlife seems to have suddenly gained celebrity status

The motor home market in the U.K.must be in a far better position than here in Portugal,vans are being advertised for weeks at a time then the price is reduced again on average most secondhand vans are being advertised at at least a third less than last year. Having said that they were always overpriced here and often not in the best condition.

Could it be something to do with Portugal banning all off official aire or off campsite over nighting

Plus they aren’t a small island with everyone locked in
