Motorhome stolen

Very sorry to hear this. So devastating and I hope it all works out for you as soon as possible
 
What an awful thing to happen, I hope you get sorted quickly.
 
How was it stolen? Broken into, hotwired etc., or were the keys in it, or keys taken from inside your home?
 
Sorry to hear about your motorhome, hope you sort it out. Hope the scums get there comeuppance, what goes round comes round.
 
One of my customers had their 2016 Baily Advance 665 stolen last week. From Exeter. Gutted for them.

I live in Exeter , so, some question for you - how was it stolen, hot wired, keys stolen, how?

Update on our stolen Motorhome-

Our Motorhome has not been found🙁. However, I have just banked the settlement from LV today. They promptly paid out market value plus some contents. I suppose we should be happy, but to be honest the loss has been hard to take. We will be getting another one. We are not quite sure when ……

At least you got the insurance payout ... And I'll think of that when I get my LV Renewal quote next month 🙄👍

I was with safeguard, payout on van pretty prompt after a little negotiation. Assessor did come and visit me .
Wee bit argument re contents then they paid me much more than I wanted.
Still haven't worked it out
 
Difficult to assess the true loss with all the accessories and other odds and ends and personal equipment tools, favourite teddy bear,. Also fuel.

Then we have the hassle etc.
Maybe up to £1,000 on top of market value ?

At least it has been duly settled quickly.

I heard that professional thieves were able to bypass the immobiliser in the fiats that is associated with a code in the ignition key. I thought about installing 10 tons of door, steering, pedal and wheel locks but I couldn't face the hassle every time I used the vehicle. Maybe an option for long term parking. I opted for a tracker that I installed myself (attached to leisure battery and placed somewhere hard to find) and pay the £20 annual subscription for the sim card. So far it has worked flawlessly. I know the location of the motorhome every minute throughout UK and EU+ on my mobile; also visible on Google maps and I can set it to notify me if a preset perimeter is breached or there is a vibration. Yes if it is ok.
No otherwise.
But will you find a suitable replacement easily/quickly and what about solar lpg etc etc.
