Motorhomer Pony Express.. UK to East Algarve.

You will, Rog.
A quick swim in the lake near the bar tomorrow, will set you both up for the day.. and Max ?
The storm hasn't arrived yet and might pass to the west of you.
Enjoy your pootling..
Too late Paul. The rain finally arrived overnight. The aire here is full of puddles but I think it will drain quite quickly into the lake.
We were so tired last night, we were asleep by 8pm and have only just woken up!
Pootling officially started.

just to remind you of jerez the free aire with electric by the bullring the moorish church etc
Thanks Ken.
We never did get there with the van.
It's on our list, when we're safe to travel again.
Did you have a rock 'n roll night ,Rog.?
We did down here...!

50mph gusts and over 30mm rain in 5 hours.
Luckily the building work was done in the nick of time and all is well in The Hovel.
Much the same forecast for this evening.
Don't try to swim in the wrong lake.

This is the polluted lake at los Domingos mines, it looks OK from a distance but close up, Ohh Ohh

Looks on Polarsteps like you’ve landed Rog. Welcome back to the asylum. Mikkis is a distant paradise memory for us now. See you soon. Stay safe

Yes, we certainly have landed, to a mountain of Mail and parcels, but the house was eerily clean and tidy!
We nearly made it home without incident but we had a blowout at Newmarket, on the A14, about an hour from home!
Should have been home around 3pm, but didn’t actually get here until 10.30. Still we’re both in one piece, and that’s the most important thing. Settling down for two weeks of normality now, 😦 but it’s been great!

As it turned out, we had a hairline split in the rim, which wasn’t something that could have been foreseen.
The tyre is completely shot and the rim is looking pretty grim. Mercifully, the wheel arch wasn’t damaged, so it’s not going to be ridiculously expensive to repair, the main thing is we were not injured, bearing in mind how close we were to the main carriageway.

What it the rear wheel? This problem is not unusual you’ll find if you search the forums. You really do need to buy at least a pair of new rims.

It's a very small and exclusive club Rog, we two are proud to be members. The hobbit hole is the warmest place on the Algarve with the best hosts on the planet
