Help! Does anyone know a simple way to do this? My pc is obsolete so can’t use iTunes on there. I have an iPad Can any of you clever people tell me how it can be done?

Have a look at Airdrop. There are some Youtube Videos that may help. Have a look Airdrop .. How To. Only way to find out for certain is to try it.

You can’t physically connect/sync ipod to ipad as they were designed to utilise itunes for this. There is third party software out there which will mimic itunes and run the transfer between idevices but you’d still need a PC. Not sure that Airdrop is available on ipods? If you have an iCloud account you might be able to backup the ipod depending on the model and then retrieve the backup to the iphone, but no simple answer, sorry.
