Ostensibly it is however many animals are still getting killed under cover of trail hunting. After all when a pack of dogs sees a fox dart from cover they will naturally chase it instead of following an aniseed trail.
I am not condoning the the practice but I will continue my support for the NT, I think it is doing more good than harm. I suspect many more wild animals are killed and injured on our roads than by trail hunting but we accept that as collateral damage. Sad but our modern life has an impact on wildlife.
You can cut the cost of membership of National Trust by joining the Scottish National Trust. All the same benefits when visiting N T sites but around £30 per year cheaper for our joint 'concession' membership. It does not matter where you live, even out of UK is acceptable.
