NC 500 Channel 4 8.00pm

Enjoyed it, pity we're not going that far up on our visit to Scotland in Sept will have to make time on another trip 😀

It’s not just a one off program, a continuation episode next week.

Gremlins! Sorry, my post mysteriously duplicated itself 🤷‍♀️

Well it's not so much the ScottishSun as The Sun in Scotland. I would maybe cope with a swift glance if it just showed generic adverts but no way am I allowing that shower to put tracker cookies on my phone. I plan to keep my affairs private as possible.

But thanks, I've got that program recorded to watch later but the biggest learning is don't delay. The ''NC500'' was on my 'list' since decades before they gave it that name but there was always something more appealing.
Now I'm no longer sure I want to 'do' it at all, there is still a lot of more appealing stuff to be seen and done...

We did it in 07 for the first time in a car camping, then in 08 in a van, I don't see what all the fuss is about unless it has changed a lot, it's quite barren up there, hardly anywhere to buy anything, we only found one place to eat that was open and it was pretty dire but had a good view.

We won't be adding to the problem in future unless Liz decides to do it one more time and it'd have to be around Christmas time.

We watched the 1st one last night, but other than seeing places we'd been dozens of times it was a bit boring, cept for the chap hitting the post on his first drive of a hire van.

Watched the second one now and not impressed at all, it jumps about all over the place, must be for the short attention span yanks, it tells you next to feck all about the area, we enjoyed it as we had been to almost everywhere shown over the years, and it was a bit of a refresher course for where we're going in a couple of weeks

Back from Druridge just now, so when I've got all chores sorted might watch 2nd ep. on catch up later today, just out of curiosity. 🤷‍♀️

Now I have never done the NC500 and no intention of ever doing it but I do go to areas that the NC500 covers. For me it is the bleak, barren places that make it a must go to. No people or eateries/shops is good lol. I can drive to a village for provisions when I need them but me and the dogs are good with solitude 👍😁
