It's terrible to hear of these tragedies, life is bad enough in these regions.

Yes very sad.
We inevitably fly 2x a year.
Lhr to Bkk..mainly direct so big planes etc so almost ad safe as it gets.
Recently we flew via Paris and on to Birmingham.
Very very windy and 2nd attempt needed.
Very very dodgy...
A covid related change of plan !!
