Reading an article about diesel pumps in Spain, can anyone enlighten me on which one to use. I don't use Petrol so don't need to understand that but the new ones are going to read B7,B10 and XTL. Spain are going to have to use these from October onwards and I'll be there then. Anyone know please ?
I know it's something to do with Bio diesel and the amount of it in the pumps but I don't know which one use, I don't run on bio diesel.IMG_20180905_103502.jpg

B7 is compatible with all diesel engines so safe to use.

B10 isn't compatible with Fiat diesel engines or any from that group

FCA Group:
Apart from vehicles fitted with a specific ‘B10’ fuel identifier, all models from brands Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Chrysler Group are not compatible.

neither is Ford
Ford:
Apart from vehicles fitted with a specific ‘B10’ fuel identifier, all Ford models are not compatible.

XTL is synthetic diesel and not derived from crude oil

This document may help you. I've saved it to my mobile device to make sure I don't get it wrong.

This gives more info on compatibility
In that communication (https://www.acea.be/publications/article/vehicle-compatibility-with-new-fuel-standards) ACEA stated that B7 diesel fuel can be used in all diesel vehicles. That remains the case today and, in general, most diesel fuel (general diesel and proprietary diesel fuel offered by many fuel suppliers) that is sold in public filling stations for use in cars, vans and heavy-duty vehicles contains close to 7 %vol FAME (B7).
