New Fogstar app with pin protection

Is this a new App for the Gen2 Drift batteries or should I download it to replace my older App?

I notice this morning that I cannot Bluetooth to the old App.

The old app had the facility to use a six digit pin, just not easy to find. Ken (rugbyken) found out from Fogstar after three of us had settings altered while in Portugal earlier this year. Anyone with a Fogstar battery should set a pin number. I have asked a few people and if they have Fogstar told them how to set a pin on the old app.

Why do people want to change settings on someone elses battery?

as Tim says above whilst on site in silves the three of us at various times had the discharge setting turned off over 3 days once we realised what was happening an easy check and reset , after many back and forward e mails with fogstar they confirmed that you could set a password on the old app but if you lost the access the battery would have to be returned to them to be stripped down and reset though they did confirm that a password option was in development which looks like dave’s update

"but if you lost the access the battery would have to be returned to them to be stripped down and reset" This is so Fogstar, they have been using JK BMSs for ages, you only need the S/N of the BMS which Fogstar would have and then its possible to reset the PIN.

I guess it's one of the benefits of having used a JK in my own battery that I have full access to the full JK data from day 1.
