New Mattress needed

Hello All.

We need a new mattress in our Swift Sundance 620fb 2011.
There are so many companies out there to choose from so if any of you guys can point us in the right direction your advice would be much appreciated.
Please let us know your experiences of sprung or memory foam.

Thanks
Adrian & Karen

Our van had just had a foot thick fully sprung mattress fitted to the French bed before we bought it. I must say it is extremely comfortable to sleep on as well. It makes it harder when changing bedding or if you want to access the under bed storage from inside due to additional size and weight though but I can live with that.

My trailer tent just had 4” thick memory foam on each of the double beds and they just had a hardboard base and I found those incredibly comfortable as well.

If using for weekends and holidays most folk can manage on anything, if old and soft like me and in the van a lot it’s better to splash out on what suits you best👍

Dont buy a memory foam one as you will overheat like mad, good stiff thick spring one is best, try ikea as they do some which may fit, thats what i have and its cracker.

Have a look at the better sleep co,that will give you some good ideas.

If your a C&CC member there is a company that specialise and the membership gives a discount. No idea if there any good but it’s a starting point. Can’t remember who they are though, sorry.

Memory foam for me easily cut to size with electric carving knife plenty on ebay
Mamory foam, why? A good mattress is the best. We have found that the IKEA ones suit us

We have some nice self-inflating mattresses for our two single RIB beds, which are good, but we do miss our memory foam from home.
So we'd quite like to buy a couple of foam-based ones, even though we'd have more of a challenge storing them during the day...

I've been wondering about something like a Duvalay topper, or a cheaper cut-to-size one to see whether it makes a significant difference. customsizebeds.co.uk does indeed look good, but is quite a bit more expensive than Duvalay, and I thought they were a bit steep...

The problem is that you probably can't really send any of these back, I guess, after trying them for a night's sleep...
Mmm.
