New Pentax FILM camera

Likely get nothing for it. I tried to sell a complete Pioneer Seperates system - Home Cinema Amplifier, Multi-CD Changer, RDS Tuner, Cassette Desk, all with remote controls, interlinked controls, the lot. Zero interest. In the end I persuaded a neighbour he needed it and gave it to him. He tried to give it back to me a month later as had no room for it :) (sorry, it's yours now :D )

I do have what is - or at least used to be - a very desirable Rotel Pre and Power Amp pair that should be worth something, but likelyhood is they've had their day as well.
Thats cause it was all crap bottom level stuff, i listened to a poineer deck once and it was day and night compared to a linn.

Decent decks are fetching good money with the resurgence of vinyl.
Decent decks have always fetched good money Kev, much like all 'decent' Hi Fi it's never died and enthusiasts have always been willing to pay for the best equipment. Not just the British stuff either, a lot of the vintage Japanese stuff too, basically if it was decent and desirable back in it's day it'll still fetch a premium in the current market.
I wouldn't call it a 'resurgence' in vinyl, more a raise of interest and awareness but it has caused prices to increase for sure. streaming/downloading is way way more popular because it's so convenient and easy to access and store and the quality is more than adequate for the vast majority of punters.
If your loft hi-fi made it into the magazines it'll sell for sure, if any has got valves in then then it's value will surprise/amaze you mate!

Deffo not got any valves in it.

Oh that old crap, binned them years ago :( :( :(

I know, my old man was a TV and radio engineer and basically where I picked up my interest in electronics from, we used to line them up on a wall and shoot them with an air rifle! Back then they were worthless but with hindsight I bet I shot a few that are now quite desirable. When we cleared the garage after his death I found a couple of wooden crates full of them, 99% were useless and undesirable but in there was a Marconi metal base B36 and I was dancing!! Couldn't believe it when I searched some more and found another🎉🥳👯‍♂️👯‍♀️

I'd love a few boxes of those babies Merlin.

Good valve amps were the sweetest sound, not so good for rock music but classic yes, i could never aford one even today.valve amp.jpg

The Marshall amp loved by rock musicians was a valve amplifier.

I've owned/repaired/serviced/ listened to most of the vintage amps, Radfords, Quads, Leaks, etc and you're right, they have the 'Vintage' tone. Personally I don't really care for it, it sounds woolly fluffy and vague but underlying the soft tone there is the unmistakeable 'valve' quality, hard to define but when it's right it just sucks you into the music. The Cary amp you pictured is a modern design, I've never heard one but I'd bet you'd fall in love with it even on non classical because it'll use improved circuit techniques that have come about over the last 20 years or so. Sure the last octave of bottom end wouldnt be quite as tight and controlled as your Naim amp but the mids and highs would be so sweet and clean your Naim would quickly be on Ebay!
If you can get hold of a Icon Audio stereo 20 PP amp on the 2nd hand market they are well worth a listen, originally cost £500 new about 10-12 years ago, used ones typically sell on Ebay for about 800-1000 quid, an excellent amp and you'll ultimately own it for nothing (Like all good quality hifi) because it's value will keep increasing. If you get skint/need the money/go deaf you just sell it, peeps will always buy quality.
