The end of the year is fast approaching so thought I would remind everyone about the fancy dress on New Year's Eve.....
the theme is dress fancy or fancy dress
which ever you feel comfortable or silly in

We have both been scratching our heads but think we will manage to do both. Anyone got ideas ?

Board games are always fun to challenge us so if you got one from Father Christmas bring it along.

Phil has already mentioned the fun raffle - bring along a prize to get a ticket. An opportunity to 'regift' although Phil says no socks or deodorant ?

There will be BongoBaz's crafty corner tucked away. Feel free to join in or bring your own craft to share.

I could hire out my kilt

Well milady, the guantlet was thrown and I decided to take up the challenge! I think I've just about managed both as well, with a nifty bit of stitching... and the outfit I'd already bought for the party will have to do for another occasion now. Pah! It's only money :cry:

jope you can post some pics jenny........sounds as rho its going to be a merry evening for you all....enjoy

what if we have more than one thing to donate for the raffle? Would that complicate things too much? No, you can put as many items as you like and you will get that number of tickets.

Is there a guide price for raffle presents?
No, it should be something that someone else would want to receive. We may have members who want to put a nice bottle of single malt in because they don't drink, or someone may have a double xmas gift that they may want someone else to benefit from regardless of the cost. It is meant to be a bit of fun.

Janet (of AndyJanet) has asked us to let you all know that she will not be doing jewellery classes at this meet. However she still has one spare set of tools, so can do one-to-one tuition (all money donated goes to charity).
Bongo Baz and Janet will host a craft session - alongside Baz’s own jewellery making section - so bring your own crafting stuff, all types of craft are welcome.

ActiveCampers have asked :Ddoes anyone else here do ParkRun? Hereford are having a parkrun at 09:30 on 1 January, and its about 1.5 miles from the rowing club. So leave at 9, warm up jog to the start, 5km swift run, 1.5m cool down back to camp, shower and breakfast for 11.
Anyone up for it? :D

BobUK : Im a park Runner and had seen this and Im thinking about it
I will bring my running gear with me and see how I feel on New Years Day
I had thought about bringing my push bike with me to get to the start but if its only 1.5 miles a nice slow warm up might be a good idea
See you there Bob

I couldn't find any glad rags that I looked ok in so I'm pleased it's fancy dress! Derek took a bit of persuading though.:sneaky:

Generators,
It would help a lot if anyone has an intention of using or may be needing to use one and are bringing it.
Could you private message me and let me know, with the size of your van so I can work out the parking arrangements,

Hi two things can I please buy Janet’s private session?
Also can I start my blue motion engine ie quiet diesel engine on day 3/4/5 on my van instead of a generator for 1 hour each day please?

Can you sort out with Janet when you arrive about the session, I'm not in control of the craft.

So, dress fancy!

Anything other than jeans and a fleece will be 'dress fancy' for a lot of people, how fancy are we talking?

Helen

It's New Years Eve ..... anything goes,

fancy is from the tiara from out of the bank vault to the plastic dress up from Poundland. (My favourite shop)

It's just for fun

PLASTICFLOWER. "Thanks 2cv, and ActiveCampers.
I've just been checking my parkrun for Christmas Day actually and had considered checking one out for New Year but that assumes not partying until daylight, unlike last year!
I'll bring my kit anyway but it might be a last minute, see how it goes, kind of decision.
My second best time is on a stinking hangover so I'm not writing it off completely! :D"

HI. Sorry for late reply - this is only my second look at this site and I find it quite difficult to sort through (from Janet). I would love to make some jewellery with you. I am not a trained teacher but we can have fun and make something together. We are on our way there now and will arrive today (Friday). I am rubbish at remembering names so when you find me please say straight out who you are otherwise I will be in cloud cuckoo land the whole time! I hope I have correctly navigated this site and that you will see this reply. ????
