Stopped to look at the sculpture fixed within a roundabout as we exit Chauvigny back to the village.

Lovely, all mild steel, and simplistic when I was up next to it.

French roundabouts are brilliant, Just passed one on our way North from Avignon. It was 10 foot tall garlic bulb! Presumably made from fibreglass.
Always a surprise, and almost look forward to them. A great indicator of local community cohesion.

Yes they are, majority of them have some type of sculpture on them using various mediums.

Back home, and local to me, covered in weeds.

In Clackmannanshire the roads are full of pot holes, but we spent millions of pounds putting tinfoil statues on roundabouts!!!
I can remember in primary school collecting milk bottle tops to make similiar things, I never knew I was artistic until I saw them on the roundabouts

Anderton near St Helens is quite impressive

However as the trees grew up around it ...it ended up looking like the tip of a huge male appendage ...as only the very tip was visible from the M62

Tghey just finished one here at coors roundabout, that night a nicked car went through the middle ay speed wrecking all around it before landing half way up a tree across the road, we saw it the next day with a crane salvaging the car, just our taxes wasted on total sh one t.
