on board charging advice wanted

they are two separate devices designed by different companies for one thing.

The Green light on the transformer/DC Converter brick will be a "power on" to show it is live
The Red Light on the charger will indicate it is charging and will change to Green when battery is full.
On the mains charger or on the inverter & at home they are red or green at the same time David, but not on 12v in the van, which puzzles me of course.

That block with the green light on in your photo ..... that is used on both 240V AC AND 12V DC?

Yes, it's just a dick powered by whichever charger you use, I have two and both do the same with the lights.

Having sold the mobility scooter, I'm thinking of buying this, I saw a old chap up in Scotland with one and he said it was a brilliant bit of kit and not too pricey so, I had a bit of back and forth with the company and I'm on the point of jumping in, I can use Paypal and do it over three months which fits fine with my meagre finances.

But, I still have the same issues of charging but this does come with two batteries, but only needs one to rum max miles on the 10ah one is 12 miles so the other could be in the van on charge now and then.

The inverter is the same as before a 300w and is now hard wired to the leisure battery I didn't like having it in the ciggy socket much.

But!! it comes with a 24V 2Amp charger, so is there a ciggy socket charger 4a or more that will charge a 10ah and a 13ah 24v battery, I have looked but may have not put in the right form of words to get a result.

I'm not keen to upgrade the vans electricals as I just don't have the dosh, our recent trip, the clutch and the upcoming ferry costs to Ireland have seriously dented the old wallet, & I don't do credit cards.

Try Cyclone mobility, my batterys are lithium and the charger will nearly fit in yir pocket.

Already bought a while ago but thank you, it seems to be working OK just a bit confused with the indication lights right now it is showing red on the charger and dock as expected, but this picture is on the brand new battery whereas the picture this morning (on the we're off thread) was for the battery the scooter came with.

HELP!!

Charging the scooter battery has been fine, but last night the lights went off in the van, volts dropped to 9.3v on the LB, I suspected the charger was dragging it down so unplugged it and they slowly rose to 10.3 over a few minutes so I flicked the control panel over to the VB so we had light and device charging overnight.

I thought I may not have had it fully plugged in so I just tried again this morning, but same again down to 9.3v very quickly.

I'm going to try now with the VB turned on.

As is right now

Nope, it dropped from 12.7 to 9.7 in seconds on the LB despite switching to the VB, how can that even happen, I checked the switching and can hear the relay working.

I put the meter on the dock and onto the plug and got 29.2v it declares an output of 29.4v so near enough with a 12 year old cheap meter.

Looks like I'm going to have to charge from the dash socket, hopefully that works or I'm van bound again.

I'm thinking the latter to be honest, it has been an issue in the past but its been fine just running the lights only so I'm pushing it a bit perhaps.

What confusing me also is why did the LB drop SO FAST when I was switched to the VB?

Charging from the dash socket worked but has taken several hours of driving, and its a pain having so much wiring up front not too mention the vans motion making the dock fall over.

I have managed to tidy up the charging cables, at least at floor level, it now runs across to the A pillar and under the step to behind the driver seat.
