Hi All of you happy Motorhome Campers in France. Getting Hymie ready for our exit to France for a month or so, what are the requirements outbound at the Ports, e.g., Calais. Lovely wifey saying she's been listening to Simon Calder on travel, saying they are now using finger printing at the ports?? If that's the case, when are they going to introduce it at Dover for the boat loads, I mean rubber dinghy's etc., arriving daily.

What makes you think asylum seekers aren't finger printed?

What has the arrival of people in rubber dinghies to do with your travelling in a motorhome to France for a holiday?

I think the poster is referring to, they are fast tracked through, while us mugs are not.

Don't think that's right, Terry. Illegal immigrants wait huge lengths of time [one of the popular moans is that 'they're put up in hotels at taxpayers' expense etc etc] for determination of their Applications. Were they to have been fast tracked, I think that the flights to Rwanda may have commenced by now ...

Asylum Processing

However, I still maintain that there the connection between M/Home holidays and illegal immigration is tenuous in the extreme, and I'm happy to agree to differ

Steve

Key word "illegal", and while they await processing, us mugs pick up the tab. I'll leave it that, as any more leans towards political.

You said originally that it was fast tracking, whilst 'we mugs' are not; now it's' illegal' that narks ... Whatever the key issue, on the roundabout of bigotry, there is no connecttion between Motorhome holidays and illegal immigration, and no reason to even mention it
