As an aside to my op, East Riding council have now told the Seabirds pub that they can no longer allow overnight parking.

But this is not France or Spain. In the UK all land is owned and we have to abide by what thodse owners want to do, or not go.

As a general comment: I keep seeing people saying how great Europe is (and I agree, we love it!) and how there are free Aires over there. I wonder why no one ever mentions Germany in that?

No idea . In my case I don't visit Germany so often . When I have it has been great. Shame about the wine though

They're providing a service to visitors . Hopefully making a couple of bob whilst doing so .
