Pilote P740 hob igniter wiring

Our 2023 model requires the AV system to be switched on before the hob and oven igniters will spark. Stupid! Just came across an identical model, same year, that sparks anytime, but the owner doesn't know if it's a mod or original.

Anyone know how the wiring goes? I'm hoping it's done at the Chinese control unit, or just possibly in the boiler area. The wiring colours would help!

I had a similar problem with a fridge that wouldn't light on gas if the engine was running, a simple jumper cable on a relay sorted that.

But could you run a fused wire to the ignition pack?

I would think that is by design as opposed to a weird wiring thing like the OP has. (In your case, if it was a British van, then almost all the 12V electrics will have been disabled when the engine was running).

But could you run a fused wire to the ignition pack?

Thanks both. I dug out the wiring diagram, and yes, that's the way it's meant to be. I'll try to find someone competent to do a bit of re-routing in the control unit, I think: just one wire that feeds the appropriate fuse and all should be good 👍

Before you do that, might be worth checking the routing?
To share the hob ignitor with the supply for AV suggests to me that it has been piggybacked from the AV socket, rather than have a line from the control panel to the cooker and just sharing a common connection within the control unit? Adding a new wire run could be awkward?
Just a thought
