PPI Claims

Pre covid we claimed back my PPI on credit cards and past bank loans and various other things in total we ended up with over £11,000 and then later claimed the tax back so yes it was worth doing first time round not sure I’ve anything left to claim against though I still get emails stating I can claim for other stuff but I think I’ll quit while I’m ahead.

I never get anything back, but folk here seem to be standing with there hand out looking for my monies, house ins co springs to mind.

We got about 18k first time round I never heard about claiming the tax. I was sold an income protection policy for self employed people in case of accident or ill health or not being fit to work. It was sold as paying out 75k a year and I paid the premium on that number but in truth it would only have paid what my books were showing at the time about roughly half that number. I paid it for 15 years £100 a month before it was noticed it wasn’t worth the paper it was written on so in the process of a large claim from Scottish widow’s.

Mine was insurance on a Barclays business loan, they would never have paid out regardless.

The loan was for £12k, the PPI gave me £7k, I actually went bust & defaulted on the loan and they settled for 50% via a debt company.

Barclays paid me PPI compensation over an investment scheme. I never tried to claim anything, they just told me they were paying the money into my Bank Account. Wasn't that nice? :)
