Do you have to value general home contents as part of the estate or is it just items over a particular value?

It’s part of the estate, so you need to include a global value for general household items/bric a brac, but as long as an amount is included I’ve never had it questioned and I’ve done 4 estates now. The easiest way is to get a house clearance firm to give you a price and include that.
