Just a quick post in case you get the same problem as me. I recently bought a new (to me) motorhome from a 'reputable' dealer. Shortly afterwards I decided to have a DAB fitted . It sounded perfect until you started the engine and moved off. I took it back twice and also took it to my local garage to see if they could find the problem. No joy. I contacted the Customer services dept. at JVC/Kenwood who were very good and they suggested that cigarette lighter plug-ins can cause interference especially if not CE marked (first tip). No joy. They suggested I contacted one of their main agent. Anyway, after a chat with agent in Bristol thank you Western Car Radio), he suggested it might be the reversing camera, which I had fitted by the 'reputable' dealer when buying the MoHo. BINGO! That is exactly what was causing the problem. Something I had paid £400 (as a special deal??) turns out to be a cheap Chinese import that uses 10amp compared to good camera using 5 amp and that disrupts the DAB signal. my technical expertise may be shaken but that is the generally gist. Given the amount of time and effort it has taken to get this stereo working, I am pretty annoyed that something I paid £400 for, has caused so much hassle. Anyway, I hope this helps someone now or in the future.

hi Aajjii

Is your reversing camera a wireless one or is it cabled between camera and monitor ?

Did you use the existing aerial or fit a DAB one ?

The reversing camera /screen are cabled and yes a DAB aerial was fitted. Just to be clear, I didn't fit it. It was fitted by Halfords and then subsequently checked by my local garage who are usually very good at sorting all thing car/vans related.
