Processional Caterpillars Warning

Anybody near Mikkis at the moment beware. Processional caterpillars have been spotted on site. Extra care must be taken, all over Portugal at this time as they cause severe suffering to dogs and even fatalities.

I thought the caterpillars were stripey, not spotted ... P'raps the Procession is on the way to the Mayor's Ball, because nobody has told the caterpillars that it's a Dance, not a raffle ...

When living in France, there was someone who decided to do a bit of skinny dipping in a small lake which was set in a pine forest.

He apparently took of his clothes and then went for his lengthy, cooling dip, when he returned he then sun bathed in the nuddy until dry and then put on his clothes little knowing that his pants now contained several Processionary caterpillars whose hairs immediately attacked his nether regions!!
Needless to say he was immediately in agony and had to seek prompt medical attention for help............

My eyes always water at the thought of his experience these many years later!!!!
