Prostate cancer

Well I've just had a phone call from the Freemen hospital regarding my cancer treatment.I get my MRI scan on the 5th of Jan and my treatment starts on the 21st so roll on Jan.

Not the Xmas present you'd want Jeff, but it's very successfully treatable, especially so if they've caught it early. We wish you all the very best for your radio blasts and for a very good outcome. I've had it for 2.5 years but I am fortunate that it is contained within the prostate and at a low level with a low "aggressive" score so I'm on an option of "active surveillance" i.e. no treatment yet but get psa test every 3 months and if psa readings are consistently below 9 an mri after 1st year and then every 2 years after that. If psa increases mri/biopsy and if growing then treatment.
All the very best for the festive, keep positive and active, keep yourself in good nick and you'll crack this no probs, cheers man, Billy and Nancy.
