Pub stopover in Scottish Borders

Try the Wanlockhead Inn, It is Scotland's highest pub. , stopped there about 4 years ago it was ok then, Drove in from the A76 on the B797 plenty of parking on that road up to the pub Rhona said it was very good

We used to have a 2cv outing there each year at about New Year. Scenic area.

Wanlochhead and Leadhills each claim to be the highest village in Scotland and both boast pubs which welcome motorhomes to stay overnight.

We did a similar run to Tan Hill, the highest of all, in 2007.

Hi. Don’t know the Hopetoun but The Crown in Biggar is really good food. Was there on Tuesday. Also, Park4night is good for pubs who will allow you to park. Search for Sites is also a good app

The car park at Lanark loch in Lanark. Very handy for adjacent pub. Very quiet at night at this time of year. A few youngsters in summer evenings. Nice walk round the Loch.
