Hi all
It's not going anywhere now sever so would like to put glass patio doors into the long side of my converted box. Can this be done? Any advice super appreciated.

@Suzi
Yes, with an adequate timber frame bonded to the box wall it’s possible, PU40 would be make perfectly adequate frame sealant or if the gaps are too large then the usual expanding foam that builders usually use.
Then standard D trim to cover the transition

These things are very heavy and double glazed panels need to be well packed to prevent up down and sideways movement especially if the vans going to be moved occasionally, they don’t like vibration and the units edge seals are vulnerable I had a screw head very slightly protruding under a glazing unit in my conservatory it applied enough pressure to shatter the panel from the vibration of a tractor mounted flail hedge cutter.

I am not sure I would fit sliding patio doors in a vehicle that is not 100% level the sliding frame may not stay square and may become difficult to operate standard French windows with decent hinges may be a better choice.

My friend August Ducatis has just fitted some to his Iveco why not ask in a comment how he has done his it will be interesting to see how well the glass is going to survive once being shaken up on the road but he not got it roadworthy yet
