Rats.

I was just sat on the bed getting dressed after my shower and two small rats were looking straight at me, we have some huge feckers round here as it's farming country, I put this stuff down https://amzn.eu/d/740QNuu but I'm not sure how effective it is, we have 7 bait boxes and I fil them about once a month.

Looking at a BB/air rifle or humane traps the at least I've got rid of them properly until the next brood arrives.

I was sat outside last year and one just casually walked past me UGH!!

I killed 18 mouse last month in the understairs cupboard that I use for storing dog food amongst other things.
Haven’t had rat problems for years, having 2 dogs might have something to do with it. In the past I’ve had them eat up through the concrete floor in the garage, used poison to get rid of them, I can still recall one staggering around the lawn in its death thro’s.
Why bother with humane traps, just kill them.

I've tried to buy a air pistol/rifle, stupid money even used, anyone got one to flog?

Must have a licence here for firearms, i had a BSA air sporter 22 with sights and silencer, handed in now.

I have Kev but I think these are silly money now. It's an Air Arms TX200 and I inquired recently about the exact model it was;

Details of your rifle are as below:

Serial Number Model Details Manufactured

14353 TX200HC .22 RH BEECH STD 24.03.1998

I've looked at a few for sale in gun clubs and they fetch quite big sums, even the old ones;

Liz is not keen on having a blood spattered patio, for myself, Meh!!

I wonder if I could get her interested in target shooting for when we rock up somewhere nice and out of the way, maybe bag the odd grey squiggle for the frying pan.

Target shooting? Liz'd have to be registered blind to miss you at short range, Kev! 🫢

Reckon your's will be the only blood getting spattered on that patio... unless you've suddenly discovered you're an olympic sprinter...? 😱😂😉

I would never stan in Lizs way, more so if she's armed, we often stay in very out of the way places so it's an idea to get us out of the van we play petanque too if we find a nice bit of gravel.

Shooting them was taking too much time when we kept a lot of chickens so I resorted to drowning them
A flip top bin with peanut butter smeared on the lid is surprisingly efficient and only needs emptying occasionally

Yes I'd go for that but too complicated and Liz would not let me get away with it.
