Re- remap T5

Got a 2012 t5 with 35000mls, converted, then got a remap, 657 mls later, con rod/piston came out the front of the block. New engine, turbo and might as well put in a new clutch as well. £££s pension went on melt down. The garage I bought it from, there insurance company would only give me a second hand engine no new turbo. I’m happy (at a cost) now as camper is used for island hopping and breakdown vehicles / garages are at a premium, on the islands.

I doubt it was anything to do with the remapping, I had our T5 remapped it went on to do 120,000 miles without any problem, I had my berlingo van remapped when new now at just over 350,000 miles again no problems
