Rear Air Assist Kits - recommendations?

But it stops the roll around islands and long bends, as well as reducing the wind tunnel effect when overtaken by HGVs etc. Big difference!

Yup, it is the general comfort of the driving which I am looking for, which includes the above (y)

Mine is EA air assist, been on 15 years now I think, twin analogue gauges with 2 x shrader valves and button switch for air compressor mounted under drivers seat. It's a Sprinter based van, same make but different layout to Phantoms. Rides line its on rails, very stable.

I don't know if they do it as a kit or not though as it was fitted by EA. Mine is recommended 3.5Bar pressure.

Original van weight was 3850 from the factory, up rated approx 15 years ago to 4000kgs but down to 3500 the last 3 years.

I was underneath the van yesterday (swapping a battery on a sensor!) and I noticed that the "+1" bit on the "1+1" leaf spring had been coming into contact with the fixed spring, which is interesting to see. On the old 3 leaf spring, the third leaf never came close to the fixed pair.
From that sight, I think the Air Assist this time round WILL be useful for sure to provide ultimate ride/control (of course, the real ultimate will be all-round air suspension, but that is a whole new ball game :) )
