wrll there is my this years quote from the AA so who are you with and what do you pay and can you get a better deal elsewhere???

Wow, that's some bill. Mine's via insurance and is just less than £100 including recovery. Might be worth looking at cover via a large club.

Is Phil looking to include anything on these lines and camper insurance on our to come 'discount' section at all?

Would be great if he did.

In the meantime, one of the best companies around for me, is Comfort insurance. Check them out and get a quote-breakdown/recovery include etc.

I pay about 85 quid ( from memory ) up to 5ton recovery whole of Europe including Spain. Never used them abroad so can not make comment on that . But my wife's car also covered
with same company £24 ( 50 % off in black Friday sale so £48 ) and she has used them 3 times last year and they were great.

2gether breakdown I also get my motorhome insurance with them as nobody else comes close.

LT Man

And that includes a discount of £104.63 .It's the bottom line that counts and that is a lot to pay for breakdown/recovery cover.I'm with caravan guard and have the breakdown, recovery as an optional extra.Without looking I can't remember the exact cost but it was below 100 quid.I think it is always cheaper to get this cover as an extension to your motorhome insurance,by all accounts they do provide a good service when called upon.

Our nationwide flex plus bank account includes it as well as travel insurance and mobile phone cover!!!!

OUCH!!
I have free UK and European Breakdown and recovery included with my Carol Nash motorhome insurance. My whole insurance was less than your AA quotation.
Regards,
Paul

Britannia Rescue £115 for year, includes £25 CSMA (now Boundless) membership. Comprehensive on MH covers roadside assistance; uk recovery; relief driver; home assist; hire car, alternative transport or overnight accommodation. European cover £16 extra. We also have personal cover for £30 which extends the cover for me & spouse/partner to any vehicle in the uk.

Motorhome limit is 8 metres in length or 7.5 tonnes in weight.

We have Inclusive policy .

Bit steep that ours for a 2013 kontiki tagg unlimited miles and full time.
green card full recovery breakdown. 425..

I think mine's more than that with RAC Arrival - but it covers me for both my vehicles or anything else I might be driving plus both the offspring in whatever they are driving as well.

Yes mine is for both vehicles plus any that me and Bill are a passenger in I can reduce it by cutting out the home start we had that for snoopy as he was a bit icky if he was stood a couple of weeks but a new battery sorted that I have been on a compare sight and there is not many that cover over 3.5 ton but I will ring the AA Monday and try for a reduction but will shop around more when I renew the insurance I'll look at a combined.

Said before but ADAC for me every time, 7.5t limit, and 10m limit around 110euro for a couple or I think 90euro one person covered in any vehicle inc motorbike.

We pay £129 with Green Flag through CMC which includes all of the above plus recovery to a holiday destination then back home. Didn't cover us for a trip to Ireland though.f

I'd never drop the home start because over the years I reckon I've had them out at home more than everywhere else added together.

The daft thing is that when I spoke to the AA they said they couldn’t cover MH over 3.5 so then I rang comfort who I am insured with and they added the breakdown/ recovery to my policy and said it was with the AA how does that work lol.

Deals and "Deals within Deals".
I checked with Comfort and they cover Finland and Hungary Slovakia (maybe Romania) for both insurance and breakdown.
I assume it is all subcontracted out to "a big National company" who in turn use a myriad of local agents !
So far I have only needed a wheel change and that was on a UK campsite all very quick.
Fingers and everything else crossed !
