Rest in Peace, Dave (Meduck)

RIP meduck, as we say around these parts, Dave was a larger than life character and will be missed. Condolences to his family.

Big hearted, big everything, even though I needed an interpreter to translate his broad Sheffield accent. Condolences to all his family and friends.
R. I. P. big Dave.

So sad and quite a shock. I know Dave had his problems but I didn't expect this. Condolences to Linda, Margaret and Christine. Rest in peace our lovely, big hearted friend... you'll be sorely missed.

Rest in Peace, Dave (Meduck)

It’s with sadness that we share the news of Dave’s passing, known here as Meduck. A big character, he was impossible to miss at the rallies, where he’d always have a loud greeting for everyone. Dave attended Motorhomer and Wild camping rallies for many years.

He’ll certainly leave a gap at our gatherings and on the forum. Rest in peace, Dave—you’ll be missed.
Thankyou to you all for your comforting messages. David would be proud. There isn't going to be a funeral, it's a direct cremation (which we don't attend). That's on Tuesday 26th. November. David's sisters, Margaret & Christine and his son David are putting on a "wake" on December 1st. at the West End pub in Killamarsh, from 2pm onwards. If any of you want to come you'd be very welcome, I know you're scattered far & wide but you're invited anyway. Sorry I can't offer accommodation after.
All the best,
Linda xxx

Hi Linda, thank you for the update. As a resident of Eckington I would have been with you at the West End but I will be on holiday. I will however raise a glass to Dave at the appropriate time. Mick.
