No experience of this place but it seems to be what you’re looking for. https://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/campsites/uk/devon/tavistock/valleyviewfarm/
Wishing you all the best with Rhona’s recovery.

If you speak to the hospital manager, they may allow you to stay in the carpark once you explain what you have to do each day.

We have stayed at valley view farm quite a few times, the owner is indeed a lovely lady.
We stayed there earlier this year when our daughter was in Derriford hospital. The bus stop is near the Lidl which a short walk away, and it goes straight to Derriford hospital on its way to Plymouth centre.
I hope all goes well

Thank you, But I don't think they have heard of buses that side of Tavvy :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

That's right, we have stayed at the CCC site in the past, it's OK as sites go :cautious: but its out in the wilds!
The CS at Valley Farm has everything we need.
We have considered wilding at Yelverton, it looks ok but personally I wouldn't be comfortable leaving the van all day on a wild spot, even though that one isn't in an isolated position

Christine was in derifod after her stroke
,their is an accommodation unit linked to the hospital .that I stayed in , hospital staff should have information it was a long time ago since I stayed. Bazz

Sorry to hear all that you and Rhona are going through. Love and hugs to you both xx

Poor Rhona, I hope she makes a speedy recovery, at least she is getting the care she needs. But you? All that travelling and the stress of Rhona's illness must be taking a heavy toll on you. I hope you find a park up closer or even very close. Wishing you both the best.

Hi Dave how's Rhona doing did you manage to get somewhere to stay nearby how you doing

Lorraine, I spoke to Dave the other day.
Rhonda is out of ICU and on a ward but it's going to take time for her to recover.
Hopefully Dave will fill you in on the situation in a short while.

Hi every body
Rhona is doing well thank you all for asking, I was informed yesterday of a transfer from Derriford (Plymouth) to Barnstaple as soon as a bed is available so that she could start rehab, That could be a long wait, (for the bed) But the good thing is she is on the mend, Memory is a bit hit a miss and very slow with her speech, Sad bit she still remembers me I feel sorry for her :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I will keep you all informed of her progress, Thank you all once again for your support
Regards Dave & Rhona
