Rye 2026

Have managed to persuade Rye Rugby Club to give us another chance with a date for next year, and, we got the field opposite the club house.. There was no choice of dates and given that Burton Bradstock is restricted to only the one date in July, we are having to do the southern rallies in reverse order ie Rye Thursday 25th June - Tuesday 30th June, Strawberry Fields Thursday 2nd July - Tuesday 7th July, and Burton Bradstock Thursday 9th - Tuesday 14th July.

I do hope Rye will be well supported as if we have to cancel again it would be too embarrassing to try again for 2027.

The booking lists for all the rallies will be posted in January next year

To explain the “in joke”. Over the last couple of months, I’ve had to attend a hospital appointment on the day I should have arrived at a Motorhomer meet. I now take the van to Morrisons carpark , walk up to the hospital, see whoever, then trot back down the hill, into the van and make my way to the meet. Sometimes, I even get there.
I now reckon the hospital has a direct link to my diary.
Talking to Nic on Sunday from the Newbury meet, she said, “What are you doing on the 20th of August?
I said I was going to Hereford.
No you’re not, you’ve got an appointment with the hospital. Can’t make it up.

Those dates clash with Hereford. The price we will be charging next year is £13 per night

Better to be Trotter, late for the Rally than to become the late Trotter ... . The doctor is not your friend he is your medical adviser, which isa good job, because with friends like that, who needs enemas?
