Just a heads up the CCC is having a rally at RYE RUGBY CLUB AUGUST 17 till August 26th 2025 £16 night members only but temporary membership available opens noon closes closes 4pm TELEPHONE 07444 750150 hope this post is acceptable , just trying to save some disappointment for anyone who realy wants to be there ??

Just to inform if they are classing that as a THS meet and you arrive as non member your temporary membership will ONLY allow you to stay in a full members unit. You would have to become a full member in your own name from what I have read in the green papers!!

Yes, and we need to get behind it as early as we can.
From a conversation I had at Burton Bradstock, I understand that after it was cancelled due to lack of support a number of people then said "oh, I would have gone there". No good waiting until it's called off!

Your are right on the mark there! I'll put Rye and the other two meets up in January, it's no good doing it now as people will just forget

Gutted.
We will be on our way to Iceland at the end of June. We so loved Rye and were disappointed when it was cancelled this year. Hopefully it will get the support it deserves so that we can attend in 2027!
It really was a great rally and ticked all the boxes for us.

Have managed to persuade Rye Rugby Club to give us another chance with a date for next year, and, we got the field opposite the club house.. There was no choice of dates and given that Burton Bradstock is restricted to only the one date in July, we are having to do the southern rallies in reverse order ie Rye Thursday 25th June - Tuesday 30th June, Strawberry Fields Thursday 2nd July - Tuesday 7th July, and Burton Bradstock Thursday 9th - Tuesday 14th July.

I do hope Rye will be well supported as if we have to cancel again it would be too embarrassing to try again for 2027.

The booking lists for all the rallies will be posted in January next year

We haven’t been on any rallies this year, the thought of being in a metal box in the middle of a field in this sun is just horrendous! Probably see you next year when we get a usual English summer!
